Yesterday saw Nathan fight in the U38 Kilos section of the Under 16 event at the Hull Open championships.
This was Nathan's first competitive judo event and he did really well in both fights against far more experienced judo players, losing his first fight to an 11th Mon from Hull Judo Club by result of a great Tai-Otoshi. In the second fight Nathan was up against a 8th Mon from Dolphin Judo Club and fought very well nearly throwing his opponent only to be countered by a good Tai-Otoshi.
Great first competition for Nathan and the start of many we all hope.

Hi all i rang retford times office today, enquiring about the publication date of the presentation evening photos. They said that because of the flood coverage newspaper space has been ‘tight’ for other events. However, they did agree in the meantime to ‘upload the photo’ to their website for people to view prior to purchasing. Photo reference is 78431. george’s dad
